Pizza Dough

Overview

This is the pizza dough recipe you'll need to make Chef Judy's Breakfast Flatbread.


Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp.                        active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp.                           honey
  • ¼ cup                          warm water
  • 3 cups                         bread flour
  • 1 tsp.                           salt
  • 2 Tbsp.                        olive oil
  • ¾ cup                          water

Directions
  1. Dissolve the yeast & honey in the ¼ cup warm water.
  2. In an electric mixer with a dough hook combine 1 ½ cups of the flour and the salt. 
  3. Add the olive oil and the yeast mixture. 
  4. Stir in the water and gradually add the rest of the flour. 
  5. Knead until the dough is smooth and firm and pulls away form the side of the bowl. 
  6. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. 
  7. Divide into 3 balls. 
  8. Let rest for about 10 to 15 minutes under a damp tea towel. 
  9. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the balls from the middle into 8 inch rounds.
